Welcome to the Olivet Schools Fine Arts webpage. On this site you will see what our bands, choirs, theater program, art, woodworking classes and the elementary music classes are doing. These programs involve 100% of K-8 students; over 70% of all High School students elect to further their study with one or more of these Arts opportunities.
The Fine Arts Program of Olivet Community Schools strongly believes that participation in the Arts further enhances the intellectual, cognitive, and creative elements of brain develpment. The latest research has continued to support this philosophy.
We are particularly proud of the well roundedness of our students. Many of them participate in athletics, the arts, and maintain a rigorous academic schedule. This broadly based education will serve them well into adulthood. Though it is common for schools to make kids make choices between the arts and athletics, we strive to help our students become well-rounded responsible citizens because these programs are so valuable to the development of young people. This is yet another example of what we call, "The Olivet Way".
Thank you for checking out our Fine Arts page! Feel free to further explore the links to see different program opprotunities offered to our students. Check back often to see updates throughout the school year to observe our students in action!
